About Denver's Ballpark Collective

Ballpark Collective RNO, a Colorado non-profit corporation, is a community group representing an area in downtown Denver, Colorado’s Five Points Neighborhood east of Coors Field baseball stadium. Although not currently a registered special district, the area is colloquially referred to as the Ballpark Neighborhood or Ballpark District. The defined boundaries are 20th St to the South, California St to the Southeast, Broadway/24th St/Park Avenue West to the Northeast, and Wewatta/Delgany St to the Northwest. It is a mixed-use neighborhood with predominantly small businesses, low-rise apartment buildings, and parking lots. About the Ballpark Collective

Ballpark Collective is a group of residents and stakeholders from local businesses, government agencies, neighborhood associations, and religious, charitable, social organizations who are coordinating initiatives to make Denver’s Ballpark District a clean, safe, and fun place to live, work, and play.

The City of Denver and the Ballpark District are rapidly changing and growing; however, many neighborhoods have organized and are outpacing this area. A lack of clear vision and collaboration between organizations has left the neighborhood lagging behind.

We must create a collective vision of the area and determine the priorities and needs of our property owners, businesses and residents, and ways to help fund those ideas. Let's work together to create a clean, safe, and fun Ballpark Neighborhood for all.

History
Many of Ballpark's original industrial buildings still stand today. During its peak, this area revolved around Denver’s rail line with warehouses and factories all catering to train-related activities. As this part of Downtown grew alongside the railroad tracks that carried goods and raw materials into Denver’s industrial market, waves of immigrants – Italian, Irish, Japanese, Chinese and, more recently, Mexican – left their own unique stamp on the area.

Here you’ll find many brick buildings that still sport train and truck loading docks on their street frontages. In 2002, the Ballpark Historic District was formed for much of the Ballpark area to preserve many of the historic warehouses and buildings that define this great district’s historical uses.

Future
In the past five years, Denver has experienced a monumental boom resulting in rapid change, growth, and development throughout the metro area. Denver’s Ballpark Neighborhood, in particular, felt the impacts of this evolution and today is on the precipice of a new chapter in the area’s history. The influx of investment, new residents, businesses, and development in the neighborhood offers an exciting opportunity to unify the community, reinvest in the neighborhood, preserve the unique character of Ballpark, and drive the conversation about the district’s future.

As a member of the Ballpark community, we need you to be a part of the dialogue as we seek to define the district’s future and development. Your input will help us gain insights into the community’s attitudes and desires for the district moving forward in a way that will best represent these interests. Your opinions are very valuable and will help ensure that this area progresses in the most democratic and advantageous way possible.
